Please RSVP and let us know whether you plan to use the shuttle or drive your own car. The shuttle will depart The Hythe at 7:15 PM for our 7:30 PM welcome party. It will continue looping between The Hythe and Minturn Saloon throughout the evening for late arrivals and return transportation.

Peter and Mary met at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas their sophomore year of college (go frogs!). They bonded over both being math minors and a shared love for friends, family, and sports. Peter asked Mary on their first date a year later, taking her to a Quinn XCII concert in Dallas followed by ice cream on the roof of the Waits house.

Peter and Mary reconnected in the fall of 2022 at a TCU game in Boulder, CO attended by all of their friends. Since Peter lived in Dallas and Mary in Seattle, they found ways to see each other through ski trips, weekends away, and more TCU football games. Even though the Broncos hadn't beaten the Chiefs since Peter met Mary, he decided she was worth the risk of jinxing his team and moved to Seattle to be with her the next summer.

the proposal

Peter surprised Mary in mid-October by proposing at the stunning conservatory at Volunteer Park, close to their Seattle home. Friends and family traveled into town to celebrate with them that night- even Teddy was at the engagement party! If you ask Mary, she'd say it was the best night ever!!

Engaged and In Love

Peter and Mary took engagement photos at the iconic Pike Place Market to celebrate their life together in Seattle. They also took photos at Murphy's Irish Pub, the local bar where Mary and Peter play trivia with their friends every Thursday night, and the staff even know them by name!

Getting To Vail

We recommend flying into either Denver International Airport (DEN) or Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE). Vail is approximately a two-hour drive from Denver* and about 20 minutes from Eagle County Regional Airport. *Please note that I-70 can be unpredictable due to traffic, construction, and weather. Heavy mountain traffic is common on Friday afternoons, so we suggest arriving on Thursday or Friday morning whenever possible.

Getting Around Vail

Ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are extremely limited and often unreliable in the Vail area. Fortunately, getting around is still very easy. If you are staying within Vail Village, most locations (including the gondola to our wedding venue), are within walking distance. In addition, a complimentary shuttle bus runs regularly throughout the village, making it simple to hop on and off while exploring. The route is below, and the shuttles run on a continuous loop from 6:30-1:30am daily. There are numerous stops throughout the village and they typically pickup at each stop every 5-10 minutes. A car is only necessary if you plan to explore outside of Vail Village. Within the village, you’ll find excellent hiking trails, restaurants, shops, and more.

Hiking

Vail Mountain offers incredible hiking trails during the summer, with peak wildflower season providing especially stunning views. Trails range in both difficulty and length, so there’s something for every skill level.&nbsp;Berry Picker trail is popular and <a href="here" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>&nbsp;is a list of some recommended trails. Your hotel concierge can provide additional recommendations.

Mountain Biking

Vail is known for it's Mountain biking and it's a great way experience all the views of aspen glades, wildflowers and the Gore Range. Mountainside pickup at Centennial Express Lift, is offered daily and rentals are offered in the village

Golf

Play golf at the nearby Vail Golf Club course, accessible via public transit and located in East Vail at the Vail Golf Club &amp; Nordic Center. This par-71, 136 slope course offers a combination of challenging, unique, and enjoyable holes amid a gorgeous mountainside backdrop. Sunday Farmer's Market

Those those sticking around through Sunday after the wedding, we highly recommend seeing Vail’s farmers’ market. The village streets fill with local vendors offering everything from fresh-baked pies and local peaches, to handcrafted art, pottery, and paintings by local artists.
